The University of Connecticut Elisabeth DeLuca School of Nursing Alumni & Friends Volunteer Board

Dedicated to the advancement of the UConn Elisabeth DeLuca School of Nursing, our Alumni & Friends Volunteer Board is composed of UConn alumni who are friends of nursing or graduates of our pre-licensure and graduate nursing programs. The board helps foster and support the ongoing relationship between our alumni and their continued involvement with UConn.

School of Nursing alumni are encouraged to use this form to submit requests for letters of recommendation from the dean or the program director, for assistance with licensure paperwork, or for documentation for a grad school application.

Please note that the current processing time for licensure documentation in the School of Nursing is approximately four weeks and paperwork cannot be digitally processed. Alumni should anticipate additional processing time via the U.S. Postal Service and the processing agency.

For extensive requests (e.g., compiling syllabi, plans of study, etc.), additional time may be needed to process your request in the School of Nursing before forwarding this information to the processing agency.

Before submitting this form, make sure you have filled out a FERPA Consent to Release Form (it can be uploaded to us below) and requested a transcript from the Registrar’s Office.

Distinguished Alumni Award Nominations

Thank you for taking the time to nominate a member of the School of Nursing alumni community! We appreciate your time and dedication to the School. Awards will be given out at the annual commencement ceremonies.

Awards include:

  • The Carolyn Ladd Widmer Outstanding Alumni Award for Leadership in Nursing
  • The Eleanor K. Gill Outstanding Alumni Award for Clinical Excellence in Nursing
  • The Beverly Koerner Outstanding Alumni Award for Education in Nursing
  • The Marlene Kramer Outstanding Alumni Award for Research in Nursing
  • The Josephine A. Dolan School of Nursing Distinguished Service Award

Nominees should meet the following criteria:

Professional and/or community service.

Alumni status from the School of Nursing (individual alumni or a group may be nominated; at least one group member must be an alum of a School of Nursing degree program).

Demonstrated excellence in the award category (leadership, clinical excellence, research, service or education).

Significant contributions to their nursing environment.
